Refund & Return Policy

1. Overview

At Clearsound, we are committed to your satisfaction. We understand that purchasing a hearing aid is a significant decision, and we want to make sure you are completely confident in your purchase. This policy outlines your rights and our procedures for returns, exchanges, and refunds.

This policy applies to all products purchased through our website clearsound.in or at any of our authorised clinics across India.

2. Return Eligibility Window

You may initiate a return within 7 days of delivery of your product, subject to the conditions listed below.

  • The product must be unused, unaltered, and in its original factory-sealed packaging.
  • All accessories, manuals, warranty cards, and original invoice must be included.
  • The product must not have been custom-programmed or fitted to your hearing profile.
  • The return request must be submitted within 7 days from the date of delivery.

3. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return due to hygiene and safety reasons:

  • Hearing aids that have been worn, custom-fitted, or programmed by an audiologist.
  • In-the-ear (ITE) or custom-moulded hearing aids made specifically for your ear canal.
  • Ear moulds, ear tips, domes, or disposable components once opened.
  • Products with physical damage caused by misuse, water damage, or unauthorised repair.
  • Products with removed or tampered serial number stickers.

Please note: Hearing aids are classified as medical devices. Once a device has been inserted into the ear canal, it cannot be returned for hygiene and safety reasons, unless it is found to be defective or damaged upon delivery.

4. Defective or Damaged Products

If your product arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery. We will arrange a free replacement or full refund at no additional cost to you. Please retain the original packaging and take photographs of the damage before contacting us.

Defects covered include:

  • Manufacturing defects verified by our audiologist team.
  • Incorrect product delivered (wrong model or brand).
  • Product damaged in transit.

5. How to Initiate a Return

  1. Contact us via email at contact@clearsound.in or call +91 98733 20320 within the eligible return window.
  2. Provide your order details, reason for return, and photographs of the product (required for damaged/defective claims).
  3. Our team will review your request within 2 business days and issue a Return Authorisation (RA) number if eligible.
  4. Pack the product securely in its original packaging and ship it to the address provided by our team. Do not return items without an RA number.
  5. Once we receive and inspect the returned product, we will process your refund or replacement within 7–10 business days.

6. Refund Process

Approved refunds will be processed using the same payment method used during purchase:

  • Cash on Delivery orders: Refund via bank transfer (NEFT/IMPS). Please share your bank account details when requesting the refund.
  • Online payments: Refunded to your original payment method (credit/debit card, UPI, net banking) within 5–7 business days after approval.

Shipping charges (if any) are non-refundable unless the return is due to a defect or error on our part.

7. Manufacturer Warranty

All hearing aids sold by Clearsound come with the manufacturer's standard warranty (typically 1–4 years depending on the brand and model). Warranty claims cover manufacturing defects and are handled directly with the manufacturer with our assistance.

Warranty does not cover:

  • Physical damage from drops, impacts, or mishandling.
  • Water or moisture damage beyond the device's stated IP rating.
  • Damage from unauthorised repairs or modifications.

8. Exchanges

We offer exchanges for the same or equivalent model if the original product is found defective or if an incorrect product was delivered. Exchanges are subject to product availability.

We do not offer exchanges based on change of preference after a product has been used or fitted. We encourage customers to use our free trial service before placing an order to ensure the product meets your needs.

9. Free Trial Before Purchase

We strongly recommend booking a free home trial before purchasing a hearing aid. Our certified audiologists will visit you, conduct a hearing assessment, and let you experience the hearing aid in your natural environment — at no cost and with no obligation to buy.
